Utah's public lands attract visitors from across the world. In turn these visitors impact the economies, businesses, and residents of neighboring cities and towns. Successful collaboration, communication, and partnerships among gateway communities and public land managers are essential if Utah wishes to protect the quality of life of its community residents, while ensuring the health of its natural and cultural resources.
The Utah Gateway Community Forum website provides community leaders, public land managers, business owners, elected officials, and other partners and experts a space for coming together to discuss best practices for developing and nurturing gateway communities. In addition it provides valuable resources and tools for strengthening critical relationships between gateway communities and adjacent public lands.
